Newspring Church in South Carolina has helped me to fall in love with church.
The Pastor is Perry Noble.

You might be thinking how can you go to a church so far away.. well I actually attend online.

Newspring's Webservice
http://www.newspring.cc/webservice

I watch the service every week online and chat with people who are also listening to it.

These people live all over the United States and some who are watching are out of the country.

I just watched the last sermon 1/24/10

It was the church's 10th anniversary. I was so encouraged yet sad I couldn't be there to take Nicole.

I sincerely love this church. I found myself getting pumped and excited when Perry announced where I believe the 4th(??) campus was going to be.

AHHHH, I wish I could be a member there.

=)

This church is the 'real deal' in my opinion.

Check it out
Webservice times are
central: 10am, 1pm, and 5pm
eastern: 11am, 2pm, and 6pm
You won't be sorry!

Today I was inspired by
Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott was in highschool when she was shot by a classmate. She was shot from the back where the bullet passed through her backpack and rested in her torso. After the classmate with the gun was out of her sight she then tried to push her body to safety but on her way she was pulled by the hair. The gunman grabbed her up by the hair and asked her if she believed in God. She said "You know I do." The gunman replied "then go be with him" and he shot her in the head.

I've been thinking for about two weeks now "Am I willing to die for Christ?"

One of my friends Jessica who wants to be a missionary processed this for a couple days and came back to me with this answer... "If I'm willing to make my whole life about Him, why wouldn't I be willing to die for Him as well"

William Tyndale died so that we could get the Bible translated to English. The people who killed him were CHRISTIANS!!! They thought the English language was not a worthy enough language. William Tyndale was burned.

I'm not trying to be morbid, but this stuff is scary!

So I sit here and ponder whether I would claim Jesus to my death....One day I thought to myself..yes, I would, then I thought about Peter. Peter told Jesus he wouldn't deny him and then he did 3 different times..

I certainly pray that the Lord would give me grace and courage to CLAIM his name to my death.. but those people I mentioned above are heroes..
There deaths brought many to Christ!

01-22-10
"To the woman He said, 'I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.' " Genesis 3:16
I read the verse above today and I was relieved to know that we are cursed.

Since I've never been pregnant, the curse that I feel the most often in myself is my desire for my husband.
We ladies often think... Is this him?? After that thought occurs girl's minds go deep with the possibility of if this is 'him' what EXCITING LIFE does this mean for me?!?!
I talked to my roommate Kaycee about this topic this morning..
WE decided that girls are blinded to the negative side of 'that guy and the relationship' BECAUSE we are so determined to see our played up and well thought out imagination become reality..

The fact is that sadly we are cursed with the desire for our husband and we miss the real desire of our heart's longing, which is Jesus.

THANKS A LOT EVE!!!!!!!!!

Being fully aware of this curse I pray that God would give me a much greater DESIRE to know JESUS rather than a guy!!

My other room mate Caroline told me the best thing we can hope for from a husband is that he in some way could bring us closer and more intimate with the Lord Jesus CHRIST!

Every year since I was in the eighth grade my dad has taken Tiff and I to see the Lady Vols play Vanderbilt at Vanderbilt. The funny thing is that I've never seen them play in Knoxville. I for sure enjoyed the game much more in Knoxville. I like seeing Pat Summit at her home. :)
After the game I noticed the teams huddled together and prayed. I didn't notice until after the picture was taken that the man leading the prayer was at FCA camp this summer and I know him well!! It was Roger Woods.

Speaking of FCA we had our first meeting of the semester this past Tuesday. It went so well.
This is Brittany teaching me to pose like a diva....
1. your purse drops to your right forearm
2. your left arm is bent while squeezing your hand
3. Bend your head slighty down and smile
4. Make sure your hip is thrusted toward the right side..(or maybe the left side??)
I know that these two will never read this blog so I just want to record this somewhere and say I think these two should date! :)
They both go to FCA
He plays football and she just LOVES FCA.
Look how sweet it is that they're both holding their Bibles in this picture...
I think it's cute and I'm being a total girl..but oh well..
Ya never know!!!???

"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1:27
Maybe God has similar emotions to my own...

Sovereignty

I am so thankful for Jesus and his sovereignty tonight.

Over a year ago I was lost in this wild thinking that Jesus had actually revealed to me who I was going to marry through strange signs. I started to believe Jesus was showing me "signs" that pointed to this guy... I cannot believe how I was so entirely sold out to believing this...
The hilarious yet humiliating thing about God warning me against this thinking began with some anxiety(which I ignored). Then my anxiety grew..and grew(still I ignored it)... and then my face broke out.. iIve actually never seen it that bad before.. IT was STRAIGHT up bad acne! (HAHA)

I have nothing bad to say about this guy..he might even be reading this... he would indeed know who he was...:)

Even though I'm pretty convinced I was deceived by the
enemy..It brought on a greater desire to really understand the way Jesus speaks.
1. I learned that Jesus SPEAKS through PEACE of heart (not anxiety)
2. Jesus SPEAKS THROUGH HIS WORD ALL THE
TIME (the Bible)
(not through random thoughts that cross my mind)
3. I learned that when a desire for something becomes GREATER than Jesus, satan has a foothold and will take it as far as he can.

4. I also learned that Jesus will never let satan win..He will rescue me from the pit, and show me the way out with MUCH MORE TO OFFER !!!!
5. I learned even more that He is sovereign...

If I want to HEAR His voice I go to His word! I get great revelation from His word when I pray for revelation
before...It is amazing to receive revelation while reading the words He spoke..

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16

Lately I've learned the importance of being light hearted!
If I've learned anything from my dear friends at MTSU it's how to be light hearted.
Laughing heals the heart...

I love the people who laugh a lot....I hope I marry someone like that!
